Reflections on Loss
On August 23, I lost my best friend to cancer.
I know this will be the driving force behind most of my posts for quite some time, perhaps the rest of my life.
Until you suffer a loss like this, it is utterly impossible to describe the pain.
But I will try to keep my eye on the lessons I am learning. I will focus on the positive.
Life is too precious to waste on the unstable, the superficial. We all need to pay attention to what is good in our lives. Put distance between the beauty of our souls and the ugliness that is constantly trying to permeate us from all sides, desperate to seep inside us.
It will be a shift from my previous approach, but I know it will be a good thing.
I hope you stick with me on this journey. I have a feeling it will be amazing.
